Dr. Manning Chiang
Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Dr. Chiang attended high school at Lisgar Collegiate Institute and the University of Western Ontario School Of Dentistry. He graduated in 1997 from the Schulich School of Dentistry from the University of Western Ontario. As a graduate he accepted awards which included the Pierre Fichaud academy of dentistry award and community dentistry award. As a dentist in practice for over 13 years he prides himself in providing all patients excellence in dentistry and using the latest in dentistry techniques to provide you with a beautiful and healthy smile. Due to his gentle and calming demeanour with his positive outlook on life, he loves treating children and adults alike. He provides orthodontic straightening of teeth via traditional braces and Invisalign, as well as providing good family dentistry and enjoys restoring teeth via fillings, implants and crowns and bridges. A self-professed individual to detail, he loves the art of dentistry. Dr. Chiang entered into private practice in Kitchener in 1997 and obtained a wealth of knowledge and experience before coming to provide his dental care for the patients and communities of the Community Dental Groups. He highly enjoys working in this dental group practice environment with Dr. Kwek, Dr. McCara and Dr. Van Beek as he can then share ideas, philosophies and patients who need family dental care. Additionally, Dr. Chiang believes strongly in education to prevent oral health problems before they occur, and he makes sure to keep patients fully informed about their dental health. He is a member of the Ontario Dental Association, Royal College of Dental Surgeons, and Waterloo Wellington Dental Society. Upon graduation in 1997, Dr. Chiang moved to Kitchener, Waterloo. He has since raised a family with his wife of 13 years, Alexandra and their two children, Sydney and Justin. Dr. Chiang’s personal hobbies and interests include basketball, running, skiing, mountain biking, gardening and volunteering at Creekside Church. He welcomes new and existing members of the communities and surrounding areas to come visit the Community Dental Group practices and experience service and family care with a big smile
Dr. Joon Mang
Dr. Mang is a graduate of prestigious New York University College of Dentistry with honors in esthetics. He has a special passion for cosmetic dentistry. He was trained by Dr. Calamia, co-founder of modern etched bonded porcelain veneer. Dr. Mang provides: - Complete smile makeover with porcelain veneers - Implants - BioclearTM treatment to close diastema and black triangles - Orthodontics: o Braces o InvisalignTM, the invisible braces to help with patients who want their teeth straightened without compromising the esthetics. - Family general dentistry He received many awards and scholarships throughout his dental education. To name a few: Academy of General Dentistry Senior Student Award Dr. Edward G. Kaufman Award – awarded to the top student of the class Elsa Pleuger-Rahmsdorf Scholarship Omicron Kappy Upsilon Honor Dental Society Certification Dr. Mang provided dental care as a volunteer dentist in under-served populations in Mongolia, Mexico and Nicaragua. He travels world-wide to offer dental care to those who are in need. He strives to create a comfortable experience for all his patients and aspires to build a trusting relationship with family members of all ages. He continually takes advanced dental courses to offer the most thoroughly researched and up-to-date dental techniques and procedures for his patients. Dr. Mang is happily married to Juha for 8 years and a father of twin girls, Arlene and Jaelyn. He enjoys playing musical instruments including drums, guitar and piano with his wife Juha who plays violin and piano.
Dr. Mona Reza
Dr. Mona Reza obtained her Honours Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Toronto in 2016. Before pursuing dentistry, she completed Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology. During her education she was the recipient of numerous awards including first prize Schwetz Gross Anatomy scholarship and Dr. Marvin Kopek Memorial Scholarship in General Pathology. Dr. Mona started her amazing career at Community Dental Groups immediately after graduation. She enjoys Dentistry as it is a great combination of her interests: art, science, health care and helping people. She considers herself privileged to be in this rewarding profession, hence she is passionate in providing dental care and has great respect for her patients and the team she works with. Her goal is to empower her patients by educating them about prevention of dental disease and motivating them to control and maintain their oral health. She believes in on going education and takes pride in keeping her knowledge and skills up-to-date by reading and attending continuing education courses. During her free time she enjoys reading on various topics, art works including paintings, yoga and spending time with family and friends.
Jessica, Office Manager
I have been working in the dental field for nine years. I have been working with the Community Dental Groups since graduating in 2007. In 2010, I was privileged to take on the role of Office Manager. I thoroughly enjoy being able to build relationships with patients and assist them with their dental needs. In enjoy spending my spare time with my husband, daughter and dog Coco.
Lydia, Office Administrator/Certified Dental Assistant Level II
I graduated from Fanshawe College in 2009 as a Level II Dental Assistant. My assisting and reception career began then. I have been working with the Wellesley Dental Group since May 2013. I am flexible in my abilities to interchange positions in the office as needed. I enjoy helping to guide people through their dental needs from the time they enter the office to the time they leave. My goal is to give them the most positive experience possible. In my spare time, I like to read, play guitar and spend time with my husband and two black labs.
Alyssa, Certified Dental Assistant Level II
After graduating from Medix College in 2013 as a Level II Dental Assistant, I have had the pleasure of working at the Wellesley Dental Group since. I am fortunate to work with such an amazing group of people. Everyday, I look forward to seeing the familiar faces of our patients, as well as meeting new ones. In my spare time I enjoy camping, travelling, and spending time with friends and family.
Delores, Registered Dental Hygienist
I have been blessed with over 30 years of a dental hygiene career. Working in the New Hamburg Dental Group practice and then moving to the Wellesley Dental Group when it began in 2007 have been amazing moments. I am committed to helping individuals and families build good health practices and enjoy healthier living. I especially work hard to make everyone's appointment a positive and enjoyable experience. I have devoted a lot of time and energy to making a child's first visit positive and so much fun that they look forward to coming back again. I enjoy playing as much as I love to work. I find time to drive my motorcycle, play baseball, garden and hike in the summer and snowmobile, ski and snowshoe in the winter. I always enjoy sewing, cooking, reading and spending time with friends. I am married to my amazing husband Luke and we have raised 3 children. We have been blessed with a wonderful family and now have the over the top experience of being Grandma and Grandpa!
Andrea, Registered Dental Hygienist
Andrea is a Registered Dental Hygienist through the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario. She graduated in 2007 from the Dental Hygiene Program at Canadore College. She began working as a temporary Dental Hygienist with the Community Dental Groups in 2010. Andrea became authorized for Self-Initiation within her profession in 2012. She is an active member with the Ontario Dental Hygienists Association and the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association. Andrea is the Vice-President of the Waterloo-Wellington Dental Hygiene Society and as part of the executive committee helps in organizing continuing education courses for local dental hygienists. Andrea enjoys providing care for all age groups but especially, geriatrics and actively working with each individual client to maintain exemplary care through the years. Andrea is married and adores spending quality time with her 2 Dobermans and her horses
